Ongoing Community Garden Evenings
Starting April 15th, we will begin our ongoing seasonal Community Evenings in the Garden. We will meet every Wednesday, except for the second Wednesday of each month, when we will be taking a “field trip” to the Farmer’s Social at Big B’s to connect with the greater agricultural community. Meet us at Big B’s if you wish to join us! The Farmer’s Social is presented by the Valley Organic Growers Association (VOGA), and hosted at Big B’s Orchards from 5-8pm every second Wednesday from May 13th to November 11th.
These evenings are an opportunity for us to gather, connect, and develop our relationship to the land and each other. Sometimes we may simply be weeding and mulching, while at other times we may have a theme, or someone may have an educational offering. Our Community Evenings at Mariposa are from 5:00 -7:30 pm with potluck-style snacks. Come for as little or as much as you wish. We so look forward to having fun with you!

Register here! COMET™ (Changing Our Mental and Emotional Trajectory) teaches people how to intervene when they encounter someone who is in a “vulnerable space” and help shift the person’s mental health trajectory back to a place of wellness instead of proceeding towards a mental health crisis.
Mending & Handwork
Bring some mending you have been meaning to do or a handwork project (knitting, crochet, etc.) you are working on. Some sewing supplies provided. Potluck style snacks.

Come connect with what's happening at Mariposa Ascendente (Butterfly Rising), the regenerative demonstration garden and outdoor classroom, formerly a project of Colorado Farm & Food Alliance (COFFA). We have been dreaming up some ideas for programming in the cocoon, and we'd love to hear what you'd like to see us provide. We're here to support rural resilience in the North Fork Valley and beyond.
