Mariposa Ascendente, located at Arbol Farm in Colorado’s North Fork Valley, is a community-centered regenerative learning and resource hub dedicated to food security, ecological regeneration, and community and cultural resilience.

Designed as a butterfly-shaped demonstration garden with a timber-frame outdoor classroom and community gathering spaces, the center provides hands-on education, technical assistance, peer mentorship, wellness support, and collaborative resource sharing.

Mariposa Ascendente is a place where healthy soils, secure food systems, thriving farmers, and resilient communities and cultures grow together.

Mariposa Ascendente was envisioned and developed as a project of the Colorado Farm & Food Alliance - Just Good Food programming, which cultivated the space from 2023 to 2025.

As of October 2025, it has emerged fully as its own collaborative project, stewarded by the community and hosted by Viva la Vida Foundation, our nonprofit sponsor.
